Rays of Love

As a proud Philadelphian, I’m delighted to have this homage to the iconic statue in Love Park. Of all of the pieces that I have created, this is my favorite. It’s an expression of love for my hometown, and of the unique medical work I get to do every day!

The Doctor is In

This is my spin on the classic sign that has been posted in doctor’s offices for ages. My favorite part of this piece is an eyeball from an MRI image. Can you find it? This piece not only makes your presence know, but expresses your appreciation for stylish and thought-provoking art!

BLACK & WHITE ALPHABET

This is one of the first pieces that I made with the Xray letters. The inspiration came from a beautiful poster my children had that displayed alphabet letters on butterfly wings. For years, I collected letters that I found on imaging studies, hoping to recreate my own version of the butterfly alphabet. When I finally discovered all 26 letters from x-rays, I was thrilled to see them all together!

Color Alphabet

This alphabet comes from a range of imaging modalities such as CT scans, MRI’s, Ultrasounds and nuclear medicine scans. They were found throughout the body, including folds in the brain (letter E), a normal scapula (letter T), and gallstones in a gallbladder (lined up in the shape of the letter J). Most interesting, are the letters P, N, and V which are actual ultrasound images showing colors in areas where blood is flowing through arteries and veins.

THE HUMAN BODY IS THE FINEST WORK OF ART

We are a miraculous creation. As a radiologist, I’m fortunate to see the inner workings of our human body in action on a daily basis. I’m amazed at the complex systems that work together in harmony, allowing our bodies to perform, often without us even thinking about it. I love enabling others to see the beauty inside all of us.

OH SNAP!

On average, Americans will experience two broken bones over the course of a lifetime. This piece reminds us that humor can be the best medicine! Can you imagine a better get well soon message? We can even personalize this piece with your own xray.
